ABOUT ME:

I am a graduate student at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Exotic ailments, such as Ebola and Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease have always intrigued me, so I decided to write a blog about infectious diseases. I interned at a lab for a couple of summers and minored in chemistry in college. In my spare time, I am a freelance science writer. This is my first blog, so please let me know your likes and gripes.

MISSION STATEMENT:

The purpose of this blog is to bring together the latest news about emerging infectious diseases, new outbreaks and advancements in the field of infectious diseases.

Prevention tips and other helpful ways to spot infectious diseases when they first appear are also to be posted here.
